The selection will include motorcycles from each of Harley-Davidson’s five model families — Sportster, Dyna, VRSC, Softail and Touring.

Our experience in leading the leisure motorcycle market worldwide makes us naturally suited to help lead and define leisure riding in India,” said Anoop Prakash, managing director of Harley-Davidson India. “We entered India with a promise to bring riders the pure Harley-Davidson experience with bikes from every family. Over the past year we have listened to riders across India at our many events, and we have produced a lineup to stir their soul.”
The Harley-Davidson motorcycles will be imported into India as completely built units.
Harley-Davidson dealerships in India also will offer genuine parts and accessories and a broad selection of riding apparel and merchandise, he said.
Bookings for Harley-Davidson motorcycles will begin in April at dealerships in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chandigarh. Delivery of motorcycles will begin in June.
After years of trying to seek entry into the world’s second-largest motorcycle market, Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson in August 2009 that it would formally begin sales in India in 2010.
Harley-Davidson has established a subsidiary in Gurgaon, near Delhi, which has been developing a dealership network.
