ST. PETERSBURG
A Minnesota man riding a motorcycle
was killed after he collided with pickup
Friday afternoon on Dr. Martin Luther
King Jr. Street S, police Slid.
Robert J. Ross, 27, was Riding a 2001
Suzuki north when he collided with a
southbound 1996 GMC Sonoma pickup
turning left into a convenience store
parking lot in tile 1400 block, police said.
Ross of St. Paul, Minn., was pronounced
dead at Bayfront Medical Center
about three hours after the 4:50p.m.
crash, St Petersburg police said. He was
not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the pickup, Eugene Lee
Flournory, 59, of St. Petersburg, was
taken to Bayfront with minor injuries.
