BROWARD COUNTY Details released on Alligator Alley crash The Florida Highway Patrol on Thursday released details about the SUV passenger who died Wednesday in a crash with a pickup truck on Alligator Alley in Broward County Yvon Pierre, 49, of Oakland Park, was in the Toyota 4 Runner that was rear-ended by the pickup, sending the SUV veering off the roadway, crash­ing through a fence, and land­ing in a canal, the Highway Patrol said . The accident happened about 2 a.m. Wednesday as both vehi­cles were traveling west on Interstate 75 near Mile Marker 31, several miles west of U.S. 27. The driver of the SUV Harry Dontfraid, 51, of North Fort Myers, and the driver of the pickup, Hartley Joseph Jude Gorman, 19, of Auburndale, were not seriously hurt.
