"One injured in motorcycle wreck"
The wreck happened today shortly after 4 p.m., according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
John C. Williams, 67, was driving his Honda motorcycle west on James Lee Boulevard in the outside lane.
Crestview resident Vickie L. Fredericks, 33, was heading south on Valley Road and came to a stop sign on James Lee Boulevard. She stopped but failed to yield the right of way to Williams.
Williams changed into the inside lane but was unable to avoid hitting Fredericks’ 1988 Chevrolet 4-door. The front and right side of his bike hit the left side of Fredericks’ vehicle.
Williams was ejected from the motorcycle on impact. He was wearing a helmet.
Fredericks, who was wearing a seatbelt, was uninjured. She was cited for violation of right away.

"Pedestrian killed in Tampa traffic crash on Kennedy Blvd."
A pedestrian has died following a traffic accident in Tampa.
The accident happened at Kennedy Boulevard and Tampania Street shortly after 9 p.m.
The victim, identified only as a man in his 60s, sustained massive head trauma and was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he later died.
This is what police say happened:
The man was attempting to cross Kennedy Blvd. He failed to observe the on-coming traffic and stepped into the path of a 2004 Jeep Wrangler.
The driver of the Jeep did not see the pedestrian until she struck him with the left front end of her vehicle, police say.
Kennedy Boulevard is closed between South Habana Avenue and North Armenia Avenue. It will remain closed for some time.

"Cyclist dies two days after being hit by van"
A 48-year-old man died Saturday, two days after he was hit by a van while riding his bicycle along Gandy Boulevard in Pinellas County.
Roger Soloman was pronounced dead on Saturday at Bayfront Medical Center. He had been admitted to the hospital following an accident on Thursday.
Accordig to reports, Soloman and Phillip R. Billups, 49, were riding their bikes eastbound along the south side of Gandy Boulevard N shortly before 10 a.m. The men went under the I-275 overpass, then Billups turned and began riding across the eastbound lanes.
Soloman also began crossing the eastbound lanes, but then he made a left turn in front of a eastbound Chevrolet van driven by Christopher Foran, 39, the report said.
Foran hit the brakes and tried to miss Soloman, but was instead rear-ended by a Toyota driven by Vasil Dimitrov, 28, the report said.
Soloman was hit by the van and thrown from his bicycle. Billups, who had retreated to the median, was hit by the Toyota.
Billups was treated at the scene and released.
Neither driver was injured, and no charges have been announced.

"Pedestrian hit, killed in Lakeland"
A pedestrian was hit and killed Tuesday night while crossing a Lakeland road.
According to reports, Wayne Lester Hile, 54, was walking along Duff Road shortly after 7 p.m., when for unknown reasons, he left the shoulder of the road and walked into the eastbound lane of Duff Road.
At the same time, Tonya D. Young, 36, was driving a 1996 Nissan Maxima east on Duff Road toward the intersection with Paradise Cove Place, deputies said.
As Hile was crossing, the Maxima hit him, deputies said. He then fell to the ground near the double yellow-lane dividers.
Young waited at the scene for emergency crews, who declared Hile dead at the scene, the report said.
Investigators said the location of the crash was poorly lit, with no artificial lights, and that Hile was wearing dark clothing. They said it also appears as though Hile violated Young's right-of-way.
The investigation continues.

"DeLand motorcyclist killed after car pulls out in front of him, troopers say"
John Henshaw, 68, was riding his Harley-Davidson north on Woodland Boulevard about 7:35 p.m. when a Mercury sedan on Woodland drove into his path at Robinhood Drive, trooper said.
Henshaw struck the side of the car and was killed. The other driver, Timothy Ackley, 18, of DeLand, was taken to the Florida Hospital DeLand for minor injuries.
A 16-year-old passenger in the Mercury, Jarred Hill of Deland, also had minor injuries, the FHP said.

A Brandon man was badly injured Monday when his motorcycle collided with a truck.
It happened just after 11 a.m. on Lakeland Drive in Flowood, near the Walmart and Hugh Ward Parkway.
Police say a pickup truck pulled out in front of 62-year-old Stephan Hinkle as he was driving his motorcycle east on Lakeland.
Hinkle was taken to a Jackson hospital with serious injuries.

A motorcyclist died after colliding with a Lee County school bus in Fort Myers
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the bus, driven by 68-year-old John Donohue, turned left in front of 57-year-old Robert Cook's bike on Tuesday. The bus hit the 1986 Harley Davidson motorcycle, and Cook died at the scene. Donohue was not injured, and no students were on the bus.
FHP reports that charges are pending in the case.

A motorcycle driver died in a Tampa crash Friday evening and his passenger is in critical condition, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The Highway Patrol identified the couple as John Wyatt, 75, and Wilma Wyatt, 59, of Sun City Center.
A 1997 Chevy Camaro driven by Wayne Timothy Gardner II, 21, of Apollo Beach was northbound on U.S. 301 when he turned left into a paved median to get on Interstate 75. The Camaro stopped at the posted yield sign in the median.
Meanwhile, the Wyatts were southbound on U.S. 301 in the center lane on a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle.
FHP said the Camaro went into the path of the motorcycle, and they collided.
John Wyatt, the driver, died at the scene. Wilma Wyatt, the passenger, was taken to Tampa General Hospital.
Alcohol was not involved, the Highway Patrol said.

A couple from Illinois suffered serious injuries when a vehicle cut into their motorcycle's path Monday in DeLand, according to the FHP
Virgil Wright, 66, and his wife, Sharon, 64, of Decatur, Ill., were injured when their motorcycle crashed into a vehicle that pulled in front of them, said Sgt. Kim Montes, FHP spokeswoman.
The Wrights were eastbound on Old Daytona Road when a Mini Cooper driven by Christopher Picklo, 29, of New Smyrna Beach, who was westbound, turned left into their path at the intersection of Garfield Avenue at 11:30 a.m., Montes said. The motorcycle struck the front right part of Picklo's car, troopers said.
Virgil Wright was airlifted to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach in critical condition while Sharon Wright was taken by EVAC ambulance in serious condition to Halifax, Montes said. Virgil Wright and his wife were not wearing helmets, Montes said.
Picklo suffered minor injuries, Montes said.
The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, Montes said.

Charges are pending in a wreck that happened just before midnight on County Road 95A
The driver of a 1995 GMC SUV told Florida Highway Patrol investigators that she was traveling south when she turned in front of a motorcycle heading northbound. Tammy Marie Bellamy, a 22-year-old Moss Point, Miss. woman, told the trooper that she did not see the motorcycle.
The motorcycle's driver, 55-year-old Anthony Nalbone of Pensacola, was ejected from the bike and died at the scene. His passenger, 45-year-old Diana L. Oglesby of Pensacola, was also ejected. She was critically injured and taken to West Florida Hospital.
Neither of the motorcycle riders were wearing helmets, according to the Florida Highway Patrol report.
The report also said that Bellamy violated the right of way by turning in front of the motorcycle.
It is not known whether alcohol was a factor, the report said.
Bellamy received minor injuries as did her 21-year-passenger, Kimberly O. Brown of Pensacola. They were taken to West Florida Hospital.
A second passenger, 29-year-old Frederick Devon Ricketts, was not injured.

A driver faces charges for turning into the path of a motorcycle, ejecting its rider on Thomas Drive
The Florida Highway Patrol charged Brandon T. Pearson, 18, of Panama City Beach, with violating right of way, according to a crash report.
Injured in the Sunday evening crash was 22-year-old Spencer J. Seymore, who was headed north on Thomas about 6 p.m. when the southbound Pearson made a left turn in front of him, troopers said.
Seymore’s 2002 Suzuki hit the right side of Pearson’s 1991 Chevrolet model, and Seymore flew off, landing in the road. He was wearing a helmet but suffered serious injuries.
He was treated and released from the emergency room at Bay Medical Center, hospital staff said.
