Man loses balance, fatally hit by truck

A 69-year-old man died after losing his balance, falling into the road and getting hit by a truck Monday afternoon, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. Authorities are withholding the pedestrian's name until his relatives are notified. The accident happened about 1 p.m., as Donald A. Buck Jr., 43, of Tarpon Springs was driving his 2011 Ford F-450 truck north on Seven Springs Boulevard, south of State Road 54. Buck swerved, but was unable to avoid hitting the man who fell in the street, the FHP said.
