Boy, 7, Struck And Killed While Riding Scooter An Orlando boy was struck and killed by a car while riding his scooter in an apartment complex parking lot. Police said 7-year-old Alberto De Alba darted in front of a car driven by Merline Jean about 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The accident happened at the Ridge Club Apartments in Orlando. The boy was taken to a hospital, where he died. Authorities said he was not wearing a helmet.
