A bicyclist died late Friday after veering into the path of an oncoming car on Tice Street near
the Interstate 75 exchange. Florida Highway Patrol officers have not identified the bicyclist
who they say may have been intoxicated at the time. The driver was not impaired, trooper said, and has not been charged.
FHP is requesting the public's assistance with additional information about the crash. Witnesses
or others with information are asked to contact Cpl. Jeff Rongish at 344-1749 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TlPS to place an anonymous tip.
