CHARLOTTE COUNTY-
A hit-and-run driver struck a bicyclist at U.S. 41 and Harbor Boulevard in Charlotte County late Monday. Shortly before 10 p.m., Raymond Earl Hembree, 53, reportedly crossed U.S. 41 in front of an oncoming northbound car at a traffic signal. The driver struck Hembree and continued
north. Paramedics took Hembree to Lee Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.
