"FHP searching for woman who took off after hitting school bus"

Four children on a school bus got a jolt during the ride to school Friday morning.

Officials say a woman slammed into the back of their school bus on McMullen Booth Road at the railroad tracks just south of 590.

She boarded the bus to check on the children and then high-tailed it out of there, according to the report.

The bus driver sustained minor injuries. No one else was injured.

Florida Highway Patrol officials are searching for the hit-and-run driver.

She is described as being in her 50s and was wearing nurse scrubs.

Her maroon Ford pick-up should have front-end damage.
