"Troopers looking for hit-and-run driver"

SPRING HILL - The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run accident that damaged a house and two vehicles Saturday morning.
The driver and vehicle involved in the accident have not been found.
Troopers said the vehicle is possibly a maroon Jeep Cherokee based on the bumper cover that was left at the scene of the crash.
The driver was speeding northbound along Overland Drive when he or she lost control while navigating a curve in the road, veered off the street and struck two mailboxes, according to FHP.
The Jeep drove onto the property at 1511 Overland Drive and crashed into the house, troopers said.
The hit-and-run driver then backed up to flee the scene and rammed his vehicle into a Jeep Liberty parked in the driveway next door, according to FHP.
Afterward, the driver pulled away in an unknown direction, troopers said.
There were no known witnesses to the crash, according to a media release.
A vehicle inside the garage at 1511 Overland Drive also was damaged, troopers said.
Approximately $1,500 in damage was done to the house, according to FHP.
Authorities are asking the public's assistance to locate the vehicle involved in the accident and identify the driver.
The Jeep likely has "heavy front-end damage" and a broken rear right tail light, troopers said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Tod Cloud at 1-800-500-1240, Ext. 151.
