Port Orange police have identified a man killed by a motorcycle as he crossed Ridgewood Avenue during Bike Week.
George F. Searles, 51, of Port Orange, died about 10 p.m. March 10 when a southbound motorcyclist hit him at Ridgewood's intersection with Niver Street, in front of a Dollar General store.
Port Orange Assistant Police Chief Wayne Miller also identified the motorcyclist, 26-year-old Kevin Armstrong Jr. of Roselle, N.J.
The crash investigation remained open and active Friday, Miller said.
