"Pasco County woman dies from injuries after being hit in parking lot"

PORT RICHEY -- A woman died as a result of her injuries after being hit by a car earlier this month in a Port Richey parking lot. According to officials, Nitza Loyola-Smith was hit by a Toyota SUV as it was backing out of a parking space outside the Publix at Regency Park Blvd. and Ridge Road on March 3. Our partners at the St. Petersburg Times say Loyola-Smith, 65, was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point and later transferred to Morton Plant North Bay, where she later died on Thursday.
