No one hurt in RTS, school bus crash No one was injured when an Alachua County school bus and a Gainesville Regional Transit System bus clipped each other in turn lanes at the intersection of Tower Road and Newber­ry Road on Tuesday morn­ing. reported the Florida Highway Patrol. The accident occurred at 7:40 a.m. as a school bus driven by Carolyn J. Dennev. 66. of Newberry, was northbound on Tower Road in the inside right turn while an RTS bus driven by Laronda J. Ivey, 26. of Gainesville, was in the outside right turn lane. FHP stated in a media release. As both began turning, the right side of the school bus collided with the mirror on the left side of city bus. pushing it forward. The school bus ended up facing south within the BP gas station lot on the south shoulder of Newberry Road. The city bus ended up facing north in the Exxon gas station lot on the south shoulder of Newberry Road.
